On Sunday, 26 October 2025, in the afternoon at 11:25, in Šilalės district municipality, Šilų village, on Antano Baranausko street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.12‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
