On Tuesday, 28 October 2025, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 92.73), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a car, an Opel, a Skoda Octavia and a Skoda. One person was injured — the 58-year-old driver of the Skoda Octavia (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of a car (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
