On Wednesday, 29 October 2025, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 93), a Seat Ibiza ran off the road. The collision involved the Seat, a Citroen Berlingo registered in Belgium and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Seat (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
