On Wednesday, 29 October 2025, in the evening at 17:31, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 40.14), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Auris and an Audi 80. Four people were injured — the 27-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), the 76-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient), a 29-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 74-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
