On Friday, 31 October 2025, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Naujoji Riovonių street, a Skoda Superb hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 55-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Skoda (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
