On Friday, 14 November 2025, in the evening at 20:32, in Šiaulių district municipality, Vijolių village, on Veterinarijos street, at the junction with Jaunystės street, a Chrysler 300C hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Chrysler (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.45‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
