On Friday, 21 November 2025, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 8.36), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Skoda (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol).
