Drunk BMW driver in crash with Audi on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas road
On Monday, 24 November 2025, in the evening at 19:10, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 33.45), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and an Audi 80. One person was injured — the 40-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.39‰ blood alcohol).
