One person was injured — a 42-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.46‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
