On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Žemaičių street near No. 10, a Hyundai hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Hyundai (31 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
