On Sunday, 14 December 2025, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kretingos district municipality, Žibininkų village, on Venecijos aklg. street near No. 2, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Smart and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Smart, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
