On Wednesday, 17 December 2025, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on Žemaičių street near No. 8, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 86-year-old driver of the Audi (42 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
