On Sunday, 21 December 2025, at night at around 4:00, in Vilnius, on Eišiškių pl., at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Ford (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.60‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
