On Wednesday, 30 October 2013, in the morning at 7:40, in Kaunas, on Švedų street near No. 5, an Iveco Magirus 170-23 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 44-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Iveco (18 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
