On Saturday, 2 November 2013, in the evening at 18:30, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street near No. 66A, a vehicle hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
