On Thursday, 28 November 2013, in the evening at 17:30, in Kauno district municipality, Domeikavos village, on Vandžiogalos pl., at the junction with Plačioji street, a Volkswagen Tiguan hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (31 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
