On Monday, 23 December 2013, in the evening at 18:27, in Kretingos district municipality, on Šiaulių street, at the junction with S. Daukanto street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9000 and a Nissan. Two people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient) and a 27-year-old passenger of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Saab (6 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
