On Wednesday, 15 January 2014, in the morning at 10:40, in Vilnius, on Baltupio street, at the junction with Mokyklos street, a Saab 9-5 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Saab (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
