On Thursday, 6 February 2014, in the evening at around 17:00, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Gedimino street, an Opel Zafira hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel (22 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
