On Saturday, 8 February 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 53.10), a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
