On Monday, 10 February 2014, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Radviliškio district municipality, Šniūraičių village, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 65.10), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
