On Monday, 10 February 2014, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with A. Mickevičiaus street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia, a Seat Alhambra and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Skoda (a citizen of Ukraine) (17 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
