On Thursday, 20 February 2014, in the morning at 7:20, in Kaunas, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Kėdainių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
