On Thursday, 6 March 2014, in the evening at 18:53, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 24.20), a Dodge Grand Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Dodge, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
