On Monday, 10 March 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on V. Kudirkos street, at the junction with Marčiupio street, a Skoda Octavia hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Skoda (60 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
