On Tuesday, 18 March 2014, in the afternoon at 16:12, in Pakruojo district municipality, on the Pakruojis–Klovainiai regional road (kilometre 1), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 316 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.20‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
