On Friday, 21 March 2014, in the evening at 22:30, in Kaunas, on V. Kudirkos street near No. 34, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-5 and a Mazda 323. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Saab (a citizen of Azerbaijan) (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
