On Wednesday, 26 March 2014, in the evening at 21:04, in Šiauliai, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Sodo street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Toyota RAV4 and a Honda Accord. Two people were injured — a 16-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized) and the 32-year-old driver of the Honda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Toyota (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
