On Saturday, 29 March 2014, in the morning at around 9:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 48.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Savos Gamybos - and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
