On Friday, 28 March 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 32.40), an Audi 100 Avant rolled over. One person was injured — a 41-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.00‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
