On Saturday, 12 April 2014, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Pavenčio street near No. 4, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Vectra-B. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (33 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
