On Saturday, 29 July 2017, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Pavenčio street near No. 4, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Seat Alhambra and a Renault Megane Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Seat (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
