On Saturday, 19 April 2014, in the morning at 7:25, in Panevėžio district municipality, Paliūniškio village, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 102), a Saab 9-5 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Saab (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.72‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
