On Sunday, 20 April 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on T. Masiulio street, at the junction with Raudonojo Kryžiaus street, an Aprilia SR 50 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 61-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and the 41-year-old driver of the Aprilia (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 61-year-old pedestrian, who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
