On Wednesday, 30 April 2014, in the afternoon at 11:55, in Šilutės district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 29, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C1 and a Peugeot 107. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Citroen (53 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
