On Wednesday, 7 May 2014, in the morning at 10:21, in Rokiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 23.15), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy and a Mercedes-Benz A160. Three people were injured — the 77-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized), a 74-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient) and a 74-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Ford (31 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
