On Sunday, 11 May 2014, in the afternoon at 14:25, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Multipla and an Opel Signum. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Fiat, who failed to keep a safe distance. She was drunk (1.29‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
