On Friday, 23 May 2014, in the evening at 18:10, in Vilnius, on Olandų street, at the junction with Krivių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Caddy Life and a Lexus IS 300. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (16 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
