On Wednesday, 11 June 2014, in the evening at 19:31, in Šakių district municipality, Dabitų village, on the Pajotijai–Gelgaudiškis regional road (kilometre 3.34), a Volkswagen Vento rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.06‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
