On Friday, 13 June 2014, in the evening at 17:10, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 231.21), a BMW 120D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the BMW (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
