On Sunday, 15 June 2014, in the evening at 22:48, in Rietavo municipality, Tverų town, on Rietavo street near No. 2, an Opel Omega-B-Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.65‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
