On Saturday, 21 June 2014, at night at 0:30, in Lazdijų district municipality, Agarinių village, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 39.10), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved an Audi 80 and an Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 28-year-old pedestrian, who was lying on the carriageway and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk. Both drivers were sober. A 33-year-old pedestrian was drunk (2.70‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
