On Tuesday, 29 July 2014, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Berčiūnai–Dranonys–Gailiūnai regional road (kilometre 4.65), a Mazda 323 rolled over. Two people were injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Mazda (hospitalized) and a 21-year-old passenger of the Mazda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
