On Saturday, 5 July 2014, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Skuodo district municipality, on Kretingos street, at the junction with Laisvės street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6 and an Audi 80. One person was injured — a 64-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Mazda (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
