On Thursday, 14 August 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 45.93), a Fiat Ducato ran off the road. One person was injured — a 42-year-old passenger of an Infiniti FX 35 (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Fiat (7 years of driving experience), who violated warning-signal usage rules. Both drivers were sober.
