On Friday, 15 August 2014, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 12), a Toyota RAV4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Toyota (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.91‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
