On Saturday, 16 August 2014, in the evening at 18:20, in Kauno district municipality, Domeikavos village, on Bažnyčios street near No. 2, a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530, an Audi A3 and an Opel Zafira. Two people were injured — a 14-year-old passenger of the Opel (hospitalized) and a 38-year-old passenger of the Opel (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and entered the oncoming traffic lane. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
