On Sunday, 24 August 2014, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on I. Kanto street near No. 10, a BMW 525 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
