On Friday, 12 September 2014, in the morning at 9:30, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Peršėkininkai–Buckūnai regional road (kilometre 1), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Opel, who entered the oncoming traffic lane.
