On Saturday, 13 September 2014, at night at around 2:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on A. Mickevičiaus street, at the junction with J. Sniadeckio street, a Mitsubishi Lancer hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
